It's Christmas Time! (2018 Edition)

[The Charity Christmas 2018 has reached its target and all three shirt lengths have been selected by their donors.]

First of all, I would like to thank Mr. T.L.C., Mr. H.Y. and Mr. J.H. for supporting the @shirtingfantasy Charity Christmas 2018. Somehow this streamlined model of donation works for the items being donated (three cuts of shirt fabric), and the handling is more or less hassle-free and risk-free for everyone (the donors directly donate to charity organizations of their choice, under their own name, and just have to submit receipt for inspection to receive the length).

Just to recap on the beautiful cuts. Each of them has some special meaning to me. Too lazy to type again, you can read each of the acknowledgement post for detail:

The first donor is Mr TLC. He donated HKD 500 to @banyan_services and picked this beautiful sky blue “Compatto” fabric from @alumofabrics. It is a loosely-woven fabric in 100/2 x 100/2 Swiss cotton, which makes it soft and robust at the same time. This fabric was purchased via a Swiss exchange student I met in my university. Every time I look at this fabric it brings me back to those blissful days. Thank you for your support 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

The second donor Mr HY donated HKD 500 to Wah Yan One Family Foundation. He picked this indigo-dyed linen from @tessuti_romentino (Testa SpA). This comes from their 2019 SS collection, which will be officially released. A breezy linen with a very springy hand - and vintages beautifully with wash. 🎄🎄 Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼

The third donor Mr JH donated HKD 500 to @doctorswithoutborders. He picked the cut of beautiful mock denim woven by artisanal weaver @bonfantitessuti on vintage shuttle loom (H. 90cm). Made from melange yarns, this fabric has the denim two-face look, but without the tendency to rub off or transfer its colour onto other garments. Woven from 120/2 Egyptian cotton yarns, this fabric is also extremely soft and has a delicate hand. 🎄🎄 This also concludes this year’s charity sale.
