Golden Eagle Shirt Review - Part II

The shirt is ready but the full review would take a while - primarily because @shirtingfantasy usually washes his new shirts a few times before the first wear (in order to reveal the true character of the cotton) - so the reader is shown some photos first.

Understandably, if there are enough readers for such a niche blog (who click on the Google ADs often enough), @shirtingfantasy may leave his day job and devote himself to fabric and shirts, but that would be a #shirting #fantasy 😆😆😆

As mentioned in the previous post, shirt is made from the rather thick and rustic "American Oxford" by Thomas Mason/ Albini (see next photo).

The side gusset

Did someone tell you this feature is available only on high-end Italian shirts? (Of course, it isn't!)

Pattern matching - 3. This is the split yoke on the inner side.

The buttonhole. Some room for improvement, perhaps, but it will be in the coming review...

  1. Hi Tom. Enjoy your blog very much. Enlightening. Is it possible to get a better photo of the side seam feature? Cant quite tell, is it on the underside of the sleeve? Thanks.

  2. Yes this is the underside of the sleeve... I was trying to find a better way to show it (let me try harder in next post)...

  3. Great stuff, the buttonhole could be neater. Just wondering if they are makers for other tailor shops too, or only produces under their own brand?
